What a beautiful little girl!

What a beautiful little girl!
At the end of our photoshoot I noticed that the sunset was really great and I had the idea for this photo. There was some grumbling about the hand holding among the boys but they lived through it and I think it turned out pretty special!
Teenage boys generally are not too happy about having their picture taken. This one was no exception until we brought the dog into the equation. HOW CUTE IS THIS???

This is the second time I have gotten to take photos of these two beautiful babies. This time it was surprisingly easy, maybe because we had two parents to help! I love how this picture turned out. The reflection on the water is so clear.
I took this family’s picture knowing that with small TWINS it might be difficult. Our main goal was to get a good family photo. We did, and it is classic and beautiful. But while editing their photos these three jumped out at me and kind of grabbed at my heart. Just simple little moments. Unposed. Perfect.

This is Jacob and he was a Policeman for Halloween. He wore his costume for days before and after because” it was really cool and he really liked it a lot”. He really got into his role as a Policeman during our photo-shoot. He kept yelling out “STOP IN THE LAME OF THE LAW!!” No, that is not a misspelling, just a 5 year old’s version of what he thinks cops say. So cute! This is a perfect example that photos don’t necessarily have to be traditional. Sometimes the perfect photo is simply what captures your child during a phase of their life that you always want to remember.
This precious little baby girl cracked me up because I couldn’t get her to smile to save my life!! Her mom and I got quite a workout trying to make her smile, laugh, anything…..she was veeerrrrry serious.
I was starting to wonder if maybe I was scaring her or something….
Really, could she BE any cuter?? Smile or no smile.
Persistence finally paid off!!!! And what a smile it is! Precious slobbery baby smiles. LOVE them!
Last fall I was honored to take pictures of the Brandon Clark family. It was the first time I met Brandon and I was blown away by the love he showed for his family, his optimism and courage. I have found myself thinking about them a lot lately. Brandon truly inspired me that day. I made this photo today with the words that came to my mind when I think about him.
